Depending on weather conditions, tea harvesting work is generally carried out every day, including weekends and public holidays, which means you can work on days and at times that fit your schedule.
No prior experience is required, and working as little as two days a week is welcome—making this ideal for those with side jobs as well. Hourly wages have been significantly increased, so this is also a great opportunity for anyone looking to earn well during the season.

Position Details

1. 2026 Harvest Season Staff

• Job Description: Tea harvesting, carrying harvested tea bags to the factory, installing shading nets, fertilizing, and other related tasks
• Work Location: 50 Shirosu Nakade, Wazuka-cho, Soraku-gun, Kyoto
  • The meeting point is the above address; from there, you will travel to the tea fields
• Working Hours: 8:00–17:00 (7.5 hours of actual work, 1.5 hours of breaks; may vary depending on weather conditions)
• Employment Period: Mid-April to late July, and early October to late November
• Hourly Wage: JPY 1,600–1,900
  • No experience: JPY 1,600 (must meet mandatory requirements)
  • Experienced: JPY 1,750 (generally understands field locations and work processes)
  • Advanced: JPY 1,900 (able to appropriately guide and instruct junior staff)
• Mandatory Requirements:
  • Valid manual transmission (MT) driver’s license required (AT-only license holders: JPY 1,200/hour)
  • For non-Japanese nationals: conversational-level Japanese proficiency
  • Ability to commute by personal car or motorcycle
  • No resistance to physically demanding work
• Work Schedule: From 2 days per week up to a maximum of 6 days per week (days off determined by shift schedule)

  • Introduction to shared housing in Wazuka Town available
