Uji Tea from Wazuka, Kyoto

Uejima Sourokuen is a historic tea estate located in Wazuka, Kyoto.
While Uji tea is renowned worldwide, it is Wazuka that serves as the heart of its production, cultivating approximately half of all Uji tea leaves. Tea production in this region dates back to the Kamakura period (1185–1333), and our family has proudly tended to these fields since the Edo period.

In 2025, to honor our long-standing traditions and ensure a stable, continuous supply of exceptional tea for generations to come, we transitioned to a corporate structure. By strengthening our operational foundation, we pledge to pursue a sustainable and resilient production system.

We invite you to delight your eyes with its vibrant color, find peace in its aroma, and savor its profound flavor.
